Salt Lake City Homes: Selling your SLC Home to Buy Another

Many Sellers are also Buyers.  We sell so we can move across the street, across town or out of state.

In order to accomplish this, it’s important to have a clear plan, because without it, it’s easy to make mistakes that can be expensive, time consuming and stressful whether purchasing Salt Lake City homes, condos or land.

So where to start?  Anyone thinking of selling their Utah home and buying another should start by getting answers to these two questions:

1.) How much can I get for my existing Utah home?
2.) Can I afford and get a loan for the new Sandy home or Salt Lake City home I want?

Answering these two key questions first, will tell you if the Salt Lake City home of your dreams or that move to a new area is within your budget or just a dream for now. If the numbers work, then you can take the next step. If they don’t, then you may need to reevaluate before considering Salt Lake City, Utah homes for sale.

If you can afford to make the move, there are a few ways to go about it.  When making a move like this, the conservative and safe approach is to make sure your existing Salt Lake City real estate is sold before you close on your new home.

I’m Kevin Coyle, a Utah real estate agent and I help people sell their Salt Lake City homes and suburban Salt Lake City or Sandy City homes and move up to buy their new homes.
